A massive data center on public land? 🚫 NO THANKS.   A proposed data center in Southern Nevada could become the first ever built on public land, despite being approved without public notification, public involvement, or any environmental review.   The project would use precious water in the drought-stricken Colorado River Basin, destroy wildlife habitat and worsen air pollution. And if this happens, it could open the door to even more data centers on public lands across the country.   Public lands should be protected for wildlife, biodiversity, recreation and future generations. Not handed over to tech companies so they can make a profit while draining our aquifers and polluting our skies.   The Center for Biological Diversity will be appealing this dangerous development.
