🚨 HOW TO NORMALIZE MASS D€∆TH — STEP ONE: DISMISS THE PROBLEM In October 2024, Sheriff Kim Stewart was quoted publicly as saying: "None of these D€∆THS are suspicious." By that point, the number of people being recovered dead in Doña Ana County had already risen dramatically, including an extraordinary number of women and teenage girls. When public officials characterize D€∆THS as "not suspicious" before meaningful investigation, they shape public perception. They lower expectations. They discourage questions. During Sheriff Stewart's tenure, more than 300 people were recovered D€∆D in Doña Ana County. This is the first post in a series examining documented public statements and institutional responses surrounding these D€∆THS. The goal is not outrage. The goal is accountability. The dead deserve answers. Their families deserve answers. New Mexico deserves answers. #Accountability #DoñaAnaCounty #NewMexico #Border #HumanRights
