From Burgess Park to the USA 🇬🇧➡️🇺🇸 This is a special one! 🥹 A huge congratulations to Jesse Clarkson on signing for Blue Hose Men’s Tennis and beginning the next chapter of his journey in the United States where he will be studying Business Management on a sports scholarship. Jesse was the very first junior player I worked with when I started development coaching career, and in many ways he helped shape the coach I am today. Jesse was one of the young players through the same programme at Southwark City Tennis Club (Burgess Park), which provided opportunities for young children from backgrounds where access to tennis wasn’t always easy. Over the years we’ve shared some incredible experiences together. From national tournaments and Talent ID camps across the UK, to travelling internationally and watching Jesse win his first Junior ITF title in my hometown Uganda 🇺🇬.
