Just got back from Wales where I was invited to speak as a keynote at the Embracing Communities conference. It was a real honour to share the work we’re doing through Black Tennis Mentors and the Butterfly Tennis Club to create more diverse opportunities in tennis and open up the game to communities who’ve historically been left out. It was also an amazing opportunity to learn more about the incredible, human-centred work tennis_wales are doing, as well as other organisations and individuals continuing to build inclusive tennis environments. Being in the room with so many passionate leaders, sharing stories, ideas, and strategies, was truly inspiring. I am grateful for the connections made and the energy that’s now fuelling the next steps.
