Throwback to my conversation last October during Black History Month with Mariyah at Roehampton University where I had the pleasure of speaking about the work I am doing at the Butterfly Tennis Club and with the Black Tennis Mentors. It was great to be able to share my vision to make tennis more diverse, inclusive and accessible. This was a great full-circle moment for myself as Roehampton played such a huge part in my personal journey. It’s where I found the confidence to build relationships beyond the tennis court, and understand the important of education in being able to apply theoretical concepts into practice. From a student with big dreams to now building programs that create opportunities for others, I’ll always remember impact Roehampton had on my life.
