On October 6, 2017, Francisco Lindor delivered one of the most iconic moments in modern baseball. With the Cleveland Indians trailing 8–3 in Game 2 of the ALDS, Lindor launched a grand slam that cut the deficit to 8–7 and sent Progressive Field into a frenzy. The crowd’s reaction was unforgettable. Many fans believe it was the loudest moment ever recorded in modern baseball, with the roar shaking the stadium and being clearly felt even through the TV broadcast. The drama began just before the home run, when Lonnie Chisenhall was awarded first base after a controversial hit-by-pitch call. The Yankees didn’t challenge the ruling in time, and Lindor took full advantage with a game-changing swing that completely shifted the momentum. - follow ( slugger.report ) for insane baseball content - #baseball #mlb #baseballplays #franciscolindor #clevelandindians
