I worked for myself for 6 years and then went corporate. nobody warns you how weird that transition is.
i went in because i was lost. burnt out on being a beauty creator, tired of filming my own face every single day. so a job where we worked on something bigger than myself, sounded like a break. and it kind of was. a one year sabbatical from myself.
i put everything into it. didnt grow my own brand for it. then i got laid off.
But now I have brand, creator, and agency experience. i learned every single thing i went in there to learn.
so now what.
i want to paint. i want to design jewelry. i also kind of want a dream social role and to build the whole marketing career out.
i genuinely don’t know yet.
the best thing i ever did was keep the side hustles. being a creator puts a target on your back in some rooms, and it’s also the exact thing that catches you when one of those rooms lets you go.
