We spent an afternoon in Greg Murray's studio, watching him work his magic with a simple white background and a whole lot of patience. Greg walks us through how he fell into animal photography, what keeps him hooked on it, and the gear he swears by to get that perfect shot; the one where you can actually see the animal's personality come through.
Greg's not your typical photographer. He spent 10 years in HR before making the leap to full-time animal photography in 2014. Since then, he's built a name for himself as a nationally recognized lifestyle, portrait, and commercial animal photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio. He's authored four dog photography books (over 35,000 copies sold!) and his work has been featured in People, Today, HuffPost, Daily Mail, Elle, and more. He's also a passionate pit bull advocate who helped end a decade-long breed ban in his hometown of Lakewood, Ohio, and still makes time to photograph shelter dogs to help them get adopted.
