Light changes fast in photography, and keeping your image properly exposed can be a lot to think about if you aren’t fluent in shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Luckily, your camera has a built-in mode that is perfect for situations where light may change quickly. That mode is called Aperture Priority, and it lets you pick the aperture, and the camera adjusts the shutter speed for you. You can use this in tandem with Auto ISO and your camera’s metering to perfectly expose any scene, no matter how quickly the light changes! Austin Jackson is a landscape and outdoor photographer based in Southern Utah. He loves capturing great light in some of the world’s most stunning locations. In addition to capturing his own images, Austin enjoys the content creation side of things, creating countless videos to help outdoor photographers improve their craft.
