A Milwaukee sanitation worker is lucky to be alive after improperly disposed of oxygen tanks exploded right in front of him. The blast happened as the truck was compacting trash, tossing the worker to the ground. A piece of shrapnel was lodged in his eye, according to Milwaukee's Department of Public Works Sanitation Services manager. Someone tossed four oxygen tanks in the trash, the manager said.
