Crisis meetings are to be held in France as wildfires continue to rage in the country, and more hot weather threatens to make situations worse.   A fire south of Bordeaux has burned an area larger that the Isle of Wight, and has cut off the motorway linking Bordeaux to Spain, as well as rail services, with evacuation orders still in place for some.   Overnight, fires were managed, but with temperatures of up to 40C (104F) expected locally as early as Tuesday, fears are the heat could fuel the fires more and could spread them further.   Local volunteers have helped fire services in Le Porge, just west of Bordeaux, and Saint-Jean-d’Illac, to hose down hot spots where wildfires have already destroyed property and homes to prevent further flare ups.   Tap the link in BBCNews’s bio to follow the ongoing wildfire situations in both France and Spain.   (Getty)   #Wildfires #Europe #Bordeaux #BBCNews
