Anthropic’s new “Record a skill” feature lets you screen record yourself doing a task while explaining it out loud. Claude then watches the steps, understands the process, and turns it into a repeatable skill it can run again later. This is built for the boring work most people hate doing manually: reports, spreadsheets, file organization, browser tasks, and repeated workflows. Instead of writing a long prompt every time, you can just show Claude what to do once. The feature is part of Claude Cowork and is designed to make automation feel more like training an assistant than coding a workflow from scratch.
