The wildfire situation in southwest France has reached critical levels with the blazes described as the worst in over 70 years. Over 42,000 hectares of land have been destroyed, an area exceeding four times the size of Paris. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated from their homes and more than 50,000 of those evacuations in a single night.
