Can students use ChatGPT for schoolwork? Sometimes, but the answer depends on the course, the assignment, and how the tool is used. At the University of Cincinnati, academic integrity rules still apply when students use ChatGPT, BearcatGPT or any other AI platform. BearcatGPT is UC’s private, university-supported AI assistant designed to help students learn, work and create more securely. 🐾 AI may be appropriate for brainstorming, clarifying concepts, creating practice questions or improving work a student has already written. Submitting AI-generated work as original thinking, however, can cross the line into academic misconduct.
