Guest trader Chris Brecher joins Jermal Chandler with a favorite intraday trick: when a strong market pulls up a stock with looming earnings, it often snaps back to its unchanged line at least once during the day. His edge is the entry, waiting for the first downtick after a bounce so the day's high becomes a natural backstop.
From there he digs into risk: the closer you enter to your invalidation, the tighter the stop and the bigger you can size, with an ATR trailing stop and simple moving averages to stay honest. He also likes being the house, not the gambler, around earnings, fading pre-announced names and waiting for clean structure. This is education, not a recommendation.
