Ottawa under a tornado warning 🌪️😳🇨🇦 Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for parts of the Ottawa region after a tornado was reported near Vars, moving northeast. An Alert Ready emergency notification was also sent to many residents across Ottawa and the surrounding area. If you’re in the warned area, take the warning seriously. Move indoors immediately, stay away from windows, and head to the lowest level of a sturdy building if possible. Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, heavy rain, hail, and tornadoes can develop or change quickly. We’ll continue providing updates as more information becomes available.
