πŸ’ͺ For #DisabilityPrideMonth, today, we're honored to hear what disability pride means to Laurie who's partnered with Service Dog Kit. πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί Laurie received her first #servicedog, Jet, in 2012 after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune disease affecting her mobility and coordination. Now, 14 years later, Laurie is partnered with with her successor service dog, Kit, out of our Puget Sound Field Office in Seattle.πŸΎπŸ™οΈ Laurie shares, "For me, disability pride is about rolling through life with my dogs, representing Canine Companions with confidence. My retired service dog, Jet, and current service dog, Kit, have taught me to find joy in everything. I'm so grateful for the puppy raisers whose generosity has allowed me to live more independently."
