💪 For #DisabilityPrideMonth, today, we're honored to hear what disability pride means to Emma who's partnered with Service Dog Samantha. Emma is a wife, mother and a nurse practitioner who has type 1 diabetes. Emma has had medical alert dogs by her side for years, and #servicedog Samantha alerts her to highs and lows in her blood sugar. 🐕‍🦺 Here's what Emma shared about what disability pride means to her: "Diabetes is a relatively invisible disability and much of our fight is internal. The burden that comes with type 1 diabetes takes up so much mental space, 24/7. I am proud when I can help my patients with diabetes feel seen by sharing my own diagnosis with them.
