Julie Kling grew up in a Bagel Bites and SnackWell's kind of '90s household, descending from a long, prestigious line of women who did the cooking required of mothers without once pretending to enjoy it.
Kling's own mother always ensured they were well fed, with a few signature dishes they could look forward to, although the microwave was her cooking tool of choice. She inherited her mother's microwave prowess, but has also flirted with cooking over the years.
Living most of her adult life in New York City, there was never much need for it, nor a kitchen large enough to attempt it. And even though she married a man whose parents taught him a thing or two in the kitchen, she knew their family needed help — professional help.
Read more about how she hired a personal chef to cook a week of meals for her family, and her verdict on whether it's worth it, at the link in our bio.
