Your soleus handles 8x your bodyweight per stride. Weak there and your Achilles, knees and arches pay the price. Your calf isn't one muscle. The soleus sits underneath the gastrocnemius, and for many runners it is the weakest link in the chain. When it can't absorb force, that load tends to travel straight into the Achilles, the plantar fascia, and the knee. ㅤ Test it, then fix it: 1. Single-leg bent-knee calf hold, 10s each side 2. Donkey Calf Raise, 3x12 3. Weighted Soleus Raise, 3x10 slow eccentric ㅤ Comment BASICS for my 4-week Grade 1 Mobility follow-along, $29, any level, community included. ㅤ #Elastaboy #Reboryn #RunningPainFree #CalfStrength #SoleusTraining
