Our newly transformed Locomotive 1776 was created to commemorate this historic milestone. Now it rolls beneath some of the oldest living trees on earth, where America’s story and the story of the redwoods meet along the historic California Western rails. This Fourth of July, we celebrate 250 years of independence, innovation, and exploration, with many more journeys still ahead.
