#GRWM for my son’s H.S graduation! Some know our story, many don’t. Now that I am on the other side of it, I can say it is truly one of resilience. When I was my son’s age, I was homeless and pregnant with him. Nevertheless, I was able to accomplish everything I was told I wouldn’t if I had him. With the help & guidance of God I built myself up from nothing. I became the first woman in my immediate family (on my maternal side) with a bachelors degree, built an entire career for myself and changed lives along the way. All while being tasked with the most difficult job there is… being mom. Needless to say, it wasn’t easy but God! Not only do I get to watch him walk across that high school graduation stage but, I also get the privilege of sending him off to attend college this fall (on a scholarship, might I add).
