The bottle opener is the first project in our Digital Design and Manufacturing program where students design something that’s both unique and fully functional. After creating their own designs in SolidWorks, students use an industrial laser cutter to turn their ideas into real parts while learning the same CAD and manufacturing workflow used to develop products across the automotive, manufacturing, and consumer product industries.
