⚡ From breaking barriers to building a brighter future. Born to deaf parents, Chritine-Amiela Seville has never allowed her circumstances to define her ambitions. A recipient of a JPS Foundation Power Up Scholarship Programme grant, Seville is set to pursue studies in Industrial Engineering while also aspiring to serve part-time as a Jamaican Sign Language interpreter—using her lived experience to bridge communication gaps and advocate for the deaf community. She reflects on the unwavering encouragement of her father, whose belief in her abilities gave her the confidence to rise above challenges and educate others whenever she encountered misconceptions about the deaf community.
