My airport habits, from someone who travels for a living and takes 50+ flights a year ✈️
1. If I’m checking a bag, I photograph the outside AND the contents before I leave.
2. I track every flight on Flighty for real-time updates.
3. Before a long-haul flight, I walk as much as possible around the terminal. Get those steps in before hours of sitting!
4. I have an airport uniform: comfy trousers, easy shoes and lightweight layers for constantly changing temperatures.
5. At Heathrow, I have the same routine almost every time. Same check-in, same lounge, same coffee stop. I have it down to a science at this point.
6. I use lounge time to charge everything, refill my water bottle and get a bit of work done before boarding. Not all airport lounges are created equal, but they’re usually still a welcome reprieve from airport chaos.
