Denver Broncos outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper is expected to report to training camp today alongside the rest of the team’s veterans, though it remains unclear what his participation level will be. Cooper is still facing massive legal troubles. The 28-year-old was arrested twice in June, with both incidents involving his girlfriend at the time. He is facing four charges, including a felony count of second-degree assault by strangulation. The remaining charges include third-degree assault, violation of a protection order and harassment, all of which have been consolidated into a single felony domestic violence case in Colorado’s 23rd Judicial District. An arraignment date has been set for August 31, where Cooper will be given the chance to plead “guilty” or “not guilty” to the charges.
