OpenAI just released its first hardware ever. There's one problem they didn't build it. It's called Codex Micro, a desk controller with buttons, a dial, and a joystick. Codex lets AI agents write and fix code, and developers often run several agents at once, juggling chats to check status. It fixes that — each button represents an agent, lighting up as it thinks, works, waits, or finishes. Except the device is already made by a keyboard company. OpenAI's version is the same hardware with their branding ,for roughly $70 more. To be fair, there's real demand. Codex usage jumped from 3 million to nearly 9 million users in months.
