Quidax has expanded its stablecoin payment infrastructure to support transactions across 21 countries and 14 currencies, targeting the high costs and long wait times traditionally associated with cross-border payments in Africa. The Nigerian digital assets exchange, which holds a provisional license from Nigeria's Securities and Exchange Commission, designed the upgrade to bypass conventional correspondent banking networks. By processing transactions through regulated stablecoin rails, settlements that previously took days can now clear in under 48 hours. The expanded network connects key African markets like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Rwanda with major international hubs including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and China.
