Sai Alavala wanted an expansive college experience, one that would introduce him to new people, help him gain fresh perspectives and prepare him for a future medical career. Creighton delivered on all counts.
“After touring, the strong advising and support system made me feel like my journey truly mattered,” he says. “And it’s a place where students are collaborative rather than competitive.”
He says he’s drawn to Creighton’s “culture of service that shapes both academics and campus life.” A biology major who is also minoring in justice and peace studies and applied ethics, Sai has woven service into his college experience. He’s a CNA at a rehab center, tutors fellow biology students, volunteers in pediatric wards and is involved with the Schlegel Center for Service and Justice (creighton_scsj).
