“There’s something really wonderful about such a brilliantly designed, hilarious and moving universe,” says UC Berkeley Professor Abigail De Kosnik on the hit show Widow’s Bay. “People want original voices — there’s a hunger for it.” As a professor in the Berkeley Center for New Media and the Department of Theater, Dance and Performance studies, De Kosnik has spent years examining how audiences engage with serialized storytelling and fan culture.
