After more than 20 years on the Huskies sideline, Elise Woodward is headed to the booth. She'll become the University of Washington football's radio play-by-play voice in 2026 — a role believed to be an FBS first for a woman, according to The Athletic. In April, Woodward was named the first television play-by-play announcer of the WNBA expansion club Portland Fire. Per the Seattle Times, she'll continue serving in that role.
