Nebraska setter Bergen Reilly has spent the offseason preparing for much more than another volleyball season.
The AVCA National Player of the Year finalist and AVCA First Team All-American balanced training with the U.S. Women's National Team, wedding planning after becoming engaged to Nebraska basketball guard Kale Jacobsen and preparing for another run at a national championship.
"It was awesome," Reilly said of her Team USA experience. "Everyone is so like-minded and working so hard, and you're always around the best competition in the country. We learned a lot and grew a lot really quick."
After returning to Lincoln, Reilly shifted her focus toward improving physically.
"I'm just working on getting stronger," she said. "Really going hard in the weight room and with conditioning."
The NCAA's new 5-for-5 eligibility rule also gives Reilly another option after this season, though she said she has not made any decisions.
