At 20 years old, Khalil Rountree Jr. was struggling. He weighed nearly 305 pounds, smoked two packs of cigarettes a day, drank heavily, abused pills, and felt directionless. The murder of his father when he was just two years old was a loss he had never truly processed, leaving him carrying emotional weight for years. Everything changed after he watched The Ultimate Fighter. Inspired to take a chance on himself, he stepped into an MMA gym and committed to a new path. Over time, he lost more than 100 pounds, got sober, and completely transformed his life from the inside out. Today, Rountree competes in the UFC’s light heavyweight division with a professional record of 14-6 with 1 no contest.
