A year later, his widow Tenisha has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $1.2 million from his estate, alleging the prenuptial agreement they signed in 2022 was never fulfilled. The claims include an unpaid $1 million life insurance policy, missed monthly payments, an unfunded retirement account, and back pay for her role as his chief of staff. Tenisha says Malcolm "had every intention" of honoring their agreement and was in the process of updating an estate plan that had not been changed since 1996, when he was only 26 years old, before he passed.
