It wasn’t until he heard Robert Downey Jr. was returning that the timing finally felt right. ❤️
Speaking about the discussions, Evans said Marvel first approached him shortly after ‘Avengers: Endgame’ wrapped.
“When we finished Endgame in 2018, Lou and Kevin took me to dinner and said we’d love to keep doing movies with Steve Rogers as Nomad… They showed me a pitch but for whatever reason it just didn’t feel right at the time.”
He went on to share that this conversation spanned a couple of years.
“Over the course of eight years I probably heard at least a dozen pitches,” he revealed. “They were all wonderful but it just never quite felt right.”
“And then I got a phone call from my team saying there’s a rumor that Downey was talking to Marvel and I was like... It felt right this time.”
Chris Evans said they come as a packaged deal. 👯♀️
