Ya gotta get 'em home! The Hillsboro Hops have been battling a rough stretch as of late. While there are multiple challenges to correct, one is getting runners in scoring positions home. On Tuesday's opening series game against the Everett AquaSox at Hillsboro Hops Ballpark, the Hops stranded seven runners in scoring positions across five innings. In contrast, the AquaSox only stranded a single runner in one inning. The Hops fell behind early off consecutive home runs by the AquaSox's Luke Stevenson in the first and fourth innings. The Hops got on the board in the sixth off a Carlos Virahonda single to bring home Kayson Cunningham from second base. The teams each added a run in the eighth with the Hops' coming from Slade Caldwell stealing home from third base on a wild pitch.
