It’s that time of year when teams begin gauging the trade market, and the Mets appear to be open for business. According to reports, New York is willing to listen on players with expiring contracts, including Freddy Peralta, A.J. Minter, and Brooks Raley ahead of the deadline.
As of now, no teams have been linked to either Raley or Minter. Peralta, however, has been the subject of trade speculation for more than a month. The Cubs and Brewers have both been mentioned as potential suitors for the right-hander.
With the Mets sitting at 44-62, one of the worst records in Major League Baseball, all eyes will be on New York as a massive selloff looms. It will be interesting to see who else is dealt with the trade deadline just 8 days away.
