A powerful M6.8 earthquake struck southern Japan on Tuesday, injuring dozens of people and damaging roads and buildings. It’s the strongest earthquake along the Pacific Ring of Fire in the past week. Seismic activity is normal for the Ring of Fire, the world’s most seismically and volcanically active zone, according to the USGS.
