President Donald Trump unveiled his sweeping plans for a makeover at Dulles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, six months after he first said his administration would be making changes.⁠ ⁠ Trump and U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the changes at 3 p.m. from the Oval Office. These renderings released by the Trump administration show what the proposed changes would look like.⁠ ⁠ The new plan "will transform the airport over the next decade into a modern, world-class gateway," according to a news release from United Airlines. Dulles is a major hub for the airline, and United is working with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) on the renovations.⁠ ⁠ Upgrades over the next 10 years include replacing the C/D concourse, additional terminals and gates with more seating areas, a larger U.S. Customs area to ease the international flight experience and more AeroTrain connections.⁠ ⁠ Those AeroTrain upgrades will also retire the polarizing mobile lou...
