President Donald Trump is expected to unveil his sweeping plans for a makeover at Dulles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, six months after he first said his administration would be making changes.
The renovations will include new terminals and the removal of the aging mobile lounges known as "people movers," a senior White House official and another source with knowledge of the plan told NBC News.
Trump and U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy are set to announce the changes at 3 p.m. from the Oval Office.
Back in December, Trump made headlines when he said that Dulles is "not a good airport," declaring in a Cabinet meeting that his administration would "rebuild" it.
“It should be a great airport, and it’s not a good airport at all. It’s a terrible airport," Trump said at the time.
