⚠️ Turn around, don't drown! Heavy rainfall brought a flash flood warning until 9:30 p.m. for D.C. and its suburbs. The storm could stay over this area for a while. Several severe thunderstorm warnings also have been issued throughout the area this evening. Some warnings issued earlier further out from D.C. were canceled early after the storms moved through. The storms bring reports of golf-ball-size hail and rainfall rates of more than 4 inches per hour. Some trees have been reported down in Montgomery County.
