We’ve Got to Talk About #Hazing According to the #AssociatedPress, a U.S. Secret Service agent and two other men were charged with violent felonies after authorities say a fraternity hazing ritual in South Florida left two hospitalized. That should stop us in our tracks. Not just because a federal agent is accused, but because too many of us know how this culture survives. I used to defend hazing. I believed it had value. I believed there were lessons in the process, that it molded people, and that if something meant something, you had to work for it. And I still believe work matters. But #BlackGreek life has to stop protecting violence. The process has lost its guardrails. Anything left unguarded will eventually get out the gate and become dangerous.
