Apartment hunters rejoice: A new housing lottery is open for 80 affordable apartments at One Carleton Green, a mixed-use development in Central Islip. The developer opened the lottery on July 16, with applications due by Sept. 14. The lottery drawing will be Sept. 28 for apartments renting from $863 to $2,864 per month. “This lottery represents another milestone in our commitment to revitalizing downtown Central Islip,” a town supervisor said.
