People often ask me why I wanted to become a doctor.
The honest answer is simple: I wanted to become the help I once needed.
Some of our hardest experiences shape us in ways we do not understand at the time. They hurt us, but they can also deepen our compassion, change our perspective, and give us a clearer sense of purpose.
For me, that purpose became medicine.
Never underestimate the power of hardship. Sometimes the very thing that nearly breaks you becomes the reason you show up differently in the world.
