A humanoid robot unexpectedly shut down live on stage at Computex 2026, and the moment quickly grabbed everyone's attention. The incident happened during Qualcomm's presentation introducing the Dragonwing IQ10, a robotics platform capable of delivering up to 700 TOPS and built to power next-generation humanoid robots. As the presenter explained how advanced robotics is moving into real-world deployment, the demonstration took an unexpected turn. The 4NE-1 humanoid from NEURA Robotics suddenly powered down, briefly lifting one arm before entering its shutdown sequence. The robot was then covered while the presentation continued. According to a later statement, the incident was caused by a temporary communication issue.
