5 changes that made me an NCAA runner-up: In one year, I went from 11th to 2nd at the NCAA Outdoor Championships by changing these five things. 1. I gained 15lbs of muscle. You might think “15 pounds?!”, but it really wasn’t that much. I gained 15 pounds of strength that helped me become faster and more explosive on the track. 2. I treated nutrition like part of my training. I’ll say it forever: FOOD IS NOT THE ENEMY. I started eating 3 full meals plus 3–4 snacks a day to match my training.
