On this day in 2002, The Rock and Ric Flair met in a singles match for the first and only time. The Raw main event in Greensboro, North Carolina came eight days after The Rock won his then-record seventh WWE Championship at Vengeance, with The Rock defeating Flair. It remains the only one-on-one match between the two. Flair was in his 2002 return run at the time, and The Rock went on to defend the Undisputed Championship against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam the following month. #WWE #TheRock #RicFlair #WrestlingHistory #WrestlingNews
