870 miles. 108 Buddhist temples. One unforgettable journey. This summer, Presidential Fellow Caitlin Buzzard walked the historic Shikoku Pilgrimage across Japan as part of her Honors Senior Project. Along the way, she collected observational data and conducted interviews in Japanese while researching Osettai, a centuries-old tradition of generosity and hospitality shown to pilgrims. "I fell in love with Miami because of all the opportunity I saw here, and that's exactly what I've experienced."
