If you walk through any of the neighborhoods surrounding Pitt’s campus, you may notice the Cathedral of Learning standing tall over the horizon, watching the city. For Spanish painter Felix de la Concha, this omnipresent view sparked a multiyear project titled “One a Day: 365 Views of The Cathedral of Learning.” For the next three years, la Concha explored the city, finding new and unique views of the Cathedral to paint each day of the year.
This year marks 100 years since the groundbreaking of the Cathedral, and as we celebrate this special anniversary, we’re challenging ourselves and you to explore Pittsburgh to rediscover the views that la Concha captured more than two decades ago. #CL100
