Keith Hinton says a mix of dereliction and diagnoses led him to despair. Until the Doe Fund helped him discover his purpose. Hinton is one of 130 people who graduated from the Ready Willing and Able program where they don the blue uniform, sweeping city sidewalks instead of sleeping on them. Perry Barnhill says the program taught him how to be a productive member of society and saved his life. Today the men have jobs, housing and pride.
